February CKCB Members Blog Hop

Welcome to the "Normandy in Spring time" stop, on the CKCB Blog Hop, where hundreds of daffodils are already adding beauty to the gardens.

You probably just left Lesley's UK blog Oh! Blog It and the next stop after here will be Chrissy @ Crafty Chrissie Creates who I think is in New Zealand!

In my last post I revealed my February Counterfeit Kit which I called "It must be Lurve".
Here's another shot of the kit before I started to play.

Despite being sick in bed for 4 days this week, suffering from stomach flu, I have managed to make quite a hole in my kit - 4 LO's and 3 identical tags.

When February's challenge #1 was posted on CKCB those Ugly Sweaters made me cringe, especially when I remembered some of the jumpers and cardigans I'd draped my body with in the oh so un-trendy 1970's.
Thankfully, no photographic evidence of those clothing faux pas remains and I was more than happy to roam around Pinterest to locate someone else's woolly nightmare.
the perfect Christmas gift for the man who has everything?

The patterns and colours are a perfect match for my kit, this is the LO that this Ugly Sweater inspired.

the view from my work table looking out across my very cluttered
attic craft room

as I'd hoped, I was able to use up lots of stash embellies on my page

love the way it all came together so well
The UKS February Tag Swap theme was "Lurrrrve"................ and I had just the kit for it.

and here are my LO's for the UKS weekly challenges - 2 & 3.

week 2
"missus b" (that's me BTW) was our ebay sellers name when we began selling vintage and antique French faience in 1999.
with our 2 dogs Blue & Bess we traveled all over France having the time of our lives for about 5 years

week 3
when an unexpected snowstorm in March 2013 blocked our driveway
the Senior Partner and his dog Fleur were in their element!
That's all I can share for now as the 4th LO that I've made using the kit is part of my Chinese Whispers Circle Journal and I can't, on pain of death, breath a word about it on my blog until all 12 LO's have been completed......I hope to do a full reveal of them at the end of 2014.
I wonder how much they will have changed?
So, thanks for stopping by.

I hope you've enjoyed this visit to Normandy.
If you get lost anywhere en route you can always check the CKCB where you'll find the full list of blogs participating in today's hop.

Just a quickie.................

I've been prepping my CKCB blog hop post today and there's lots to be revealed on Monday so be sure to come back then for a look.
But...............I really did want to share this LO that I did last weekend (before I got sick and "took to me bed") for The Green Buttons House February Challenge.

The GB's chose a gorgeous colour palette from Design Seeds for us to use and I had some great snaps of the Senior Partner that I'd wanted to scrap for a few years(!) but never had.

the back of the T shirt announces to the world that
"Old Guys Rule" but most importantly labels him as a
"trophy husband".
It may be almost 5 years since he bought it down in Harbour Town, HHI but it's still his favourite T.

I broke open some new stash from the "He Said, She Said" range by Teresa Collins added some old stash bits and pieces et voila!

C'est pret.
Bon weekend.

Counterfeit Kit - February. It must be lurve!

The ladies on the CKCB have chosen three Kits de Somni for this month’s challenges and I chose to base mine on choice #1.

See how prettily they set out the kit

It wasn't until I began to pull my February Counterfeit Kit together that I realised how many stash items, I had forgotten  saved for a rainy day, that I could use.

I tried to make it look neat, honestly!
Red/White/Black and a touch of turquoisey  blue, hearts & lace, perfect for the month of lurve!

Loving the "He Said She Said" pp's & embellies from Teresa Collins
This month it’s not only about the amazing Theresa Collins papers that I bought recently, more of an embellie stash blast!

Besides the aforementioned TC papers I’ve included pp’s from lilybee, fancypants, basic grey, american crafts, studio calico and hampton art.

so many embellies, so little space!

The embellishments are from bobunny, TC,  jenni bowlin, ikea (!) plus lots of odds & ends.
I’ll be adding cardstock & part used alphas from stash, and inking & stamping a bit too.

"it must be lurve"
I’m hoping to have a go at the chalkboard papers that Jemma talked about in her blog post, here,
I have the paint just not the nowse!
