It's Crafting Time - Sketch

This is the LO that I created from a sketch, provided by It's Crafting Time, to the Design Team to interpret.
Patterned background paper, journal tag and strips are from Crate Paper’s Hampton and Clambake Sailing collection.

The embellishment cluster and stars are from my stash and there’s a hidden journaling tag inside a Tim Holtz idea-ology Kraft glassine pocket, tucked behind the photo.

The photo was taken as we strolled around the harbour at Shelter Cove, H.H.I South Carolina, in 2009 when our friends from Texas came to visit us there.
Hidden journalling reads:
We always enjoy our time in Hilton Head, especially when we can spend it with good friends. When Susan & John joined us in the spring of 2009 we were thrilled to share it with them. It was the Cox’s first visit to H.H.I. but I don’t think it will be last.

Fasching 1990

The week 2 challenge for this month at UK Scrappers called for us to show our "wild side"! Also to use stars or flourishes and an affirmative statement, quite a challenge!
As far as I knew all proof of my wild side had been destryoyed disappeared long ago then I remembered some photos of the Senior Partner & I, taken by a neighbour, as we sipped champagne before leaving for a Faschings party in 1990.
(Fasching is how they celebrate Mardi Gras in Bavaria, Germany).

This is as wild as we got back in the day...................................................

When summer ends....

The brief for the House Challenge at UK Scrappers this month was to use a colour palette of white, grey, cool pink and mid green.
I had a photo of a cushion that I had seen in the potting shed of a Savannah, GA residence in 2010.

I thought it would suit the colour scheme and the sentiment is especially fitting this year as my potager has truly gone to pot due to the constant rain it and I have had to endure!

DT Challenge - It's Crafting Time

Recently I posted details of my "Journey" mini book but left out photos of pages 2 and 3.
Well, here they are.
Tucked inside page three is a tag I made for my first assignment as a member of the   It's Crafting Time

The theme: "Faces"

Pages 2 & 3.

the one of the left is the Senior Partner & I

Some recent scrapbook pages

July was a scrapbooking whirlwind!
Besides finishing off my Journey mini book and making 4 steampunk tags I completed 8 LO's, 7 of them were UK Scrappers challenges.
I've already shared a couple of them, here are the rest.

Ben (my cocker spaniel) as a snowball, the subject of choice
 for July week 2 challenge.
We had to use paint on the page and scrap something out of season.
July week 3 challenge showcased the Fete de la Pomme
held annually in a local village.
The challenge was to scrap the sketch
and use less than perfect photos.

Ben once again for week 4 challenge.
Favourite colour combo and thing you couldn't live without
 were 2 of the criteria.
Say no more!

Week 5 was a scraplift and the photos are from our day
at the seaside last weekend.

I did this LO for the Scrap A Sketch social group
monthly sketch challenge, it features our
beautiful German Shepherd "Fleur".
Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon!
